old challenger...

When i was around 7- 14 my uncle would challenge me to take characters of movies, animes, comics etc. and change them, even some time create a whole new character with those more popular ones. In about a weeks time i would re-visit him and we would compare drawings. Well this week he challenged me for the first time in years, Challenge ACCEPTED!

Challenge was to take Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern and switch the color sets.
So i did this yesterday morning before i got working on paid projects. I was trying not to make myself spend more than an hour on it so that it would just be for fun/ practice.

Bartman and House boy...

When i was at SCAD, one of my assignments where to draw from a Bartman script. I was going through some folders today and found my character study's.. this was my interpretation of the characters.

Finished product...

Well i got the ok for the poster of the "emily elm street" fan film. So here is what i did. I took the few pictures of the 2 characters they took and chop n screwed them together. then i fused them with the colored capital building picture and made them look like they belonged. (the people producing the fan film wanted the building to look comic book like, and the people to stay realistic)...so in 2 days time this is what i did....

Capital...

So i was asked to do a poster for a girl named Hope, who is a major huge positive influence for the well being of Flint Michigan, and shes like 13 or some things. So on her recent go around's she is helping a flint guy with his fan film (Emily Elm Street), so they took pictures of her and there Freddy Kruger, and they didn't quite know how to finish there ad, here is where i come in. They wanted a comic book style building in the back with all of the info needed... first step
Draw the building, now i colored it, then added the selected picture they took, put in all the info, so its all done. Problem is they haven't approved it, and they wont til after new years. So i cant post it until then.
So... Next week ill post up the rest of the process.

DFF Free art...

For this years Detroit Fan Fare i had quite a bit of art to finish in a matter of days, not weeks, and i can defiantly say this had been a great learning experience. I drew and colored a "Ballad of the Walker" promo hand out (i did not do the logo), and colored the rest of the promos that i didnt draw, like one for "The 7" pencils by Laurell Bryant and another for "Karma" pencils by Jovon Tucker...
